Senior Process Engineer - Water & Wastewater

Spring Professional are currently working with a Water and Wastewater specialist consultancy based out of Auckland that design, construct and deliver infrastructure projects across New Zealand and Australia. Due to a strong pipeline of projects, coupled with an ambition of unrivalled growth they are looking to bring on board a Senior Process Engineer to their major projects division.

With offerings that include design and construction of headworks, filtration, dosing and control systems; equipment training; remote monitoring and analysis; this role will play a crucial part in the delivery of infrastructure projects through managing the design process. This is a hands-on role as you will be working closely with project managers and draughtsman during the initial phase of a contract to ensure all process issues are addressed.

Responsibilities will include:

• Manage the design process to ensure the most efficient, cost effective, and low risk treatment processes are put together
• Take an active role in estimation with design and engineering input
• Work closely with the project managers and draughtsman during the initial phase of a contract to ensure all process issues are addressed
• P&ID, Layout, engineering and hydraulic calculations, schedules, and hydraulic profiles

To be successful in your application for this role, you will need:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in process engineering role within the water sector
• Experience working in the contracting sector (preferable)
• Tertiary degree in Engineering, preferable in Water, Process, or Chemical
• Working knowledge of mechanical plant and equipment
• A solid understanding of the commercial and financial implications of the process decisions (essential)
