Spring Professional is currently working with a leading New Zealand owned Commercial Construction company with projects throughout both Islands. This highly regarded construction company is going from strength to strength through innovation and an uncompromising approach to delivering on the promises made to clients. Due to an increase in project pipeline they are now looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Queenstown office.

As a Senior member of the QS division, you will manage all costs relating to projects, from inception to completion. As the company is founded on a reputation of high standards this is a given within the role and you will be tasked with minimising the cost of projects whilst enhancing value for money, and achieving the required quality.

Responsibilities within this role will include, but not limited to:

• Contract management to ensure adherence of conditions to protect against potential risk
• Procurement of Subcontractors
• Monthly cost reporting and cost forecasting
• Delivery of projects, and management of project teams, to ensure all financial deliverables and outcome are achieved
• Measuring, estimating and valuing variation claims
• Forensic analysis of contract documents, budgets, estimates and subcontractor quotations

To be successfully considered for this role, we are looking to speak with people who have the following skills and experience:

• Proven experience as Senior QS, preferably within the New Zealand market
• Tertiary degree in Quantity Surveying, or a related field
• Experience using CostX (preferable)
• CAT Projects (preferable, but not essential)
• Negotiation and excellent communications skills
